Cherry Coke Jello Salad
1 -12 ounce can coke or pepsi (you can use regular or diet) 1 - 16.5 ounce can pitted Bing cherries (drain but save syrup) 1 - 20 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained 1 - 6 ounce package black cherry flavored jello (you can use regular or sugar free) 1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup slivered almonds
In a saucepan combine the reserved cherry juice with the coke. Heat until boiling then stir in the jello. Mix until jello is dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in the drained pineapple, drained cherries and chopped nuts. Pour mixture into a mold sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
