Chicken
Cheese Chowder
1 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup onion, chopped
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 can chicken broth
1 cup cooked, diced chicken
1 tablespoons dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded American cheese
In large saucepan, cook carrots and onion
in butter, until tender. Do not brown. Blend in flour; add milk
and chicken broth. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in chicken, wine, celery seed and Worcestershire sauce.
Heat through. Add cheese and stir until melted.
