Cream of Tomato Soup
1 can tomatoes (about 3
coups)
1 onion, chopped
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 cup half and half
4 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 drops tabasco
salt to taste
Saute onion in butter about 5
minutes. Add in the tomatoes, tomato paste and flour. Stir for
2 minutes. Add in chicken broth and simmer for 15 minutes. Add
salt and tabasco, mix. Allow to cool and then put through
blender. Add half and half and heat to serve.
