Macaroni
Beef Casserole
8 ounce shell macaroni
2 pounds hamburger meat
2 medium onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 - 14 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
1 - 16 ounce can stewed tomatoes
1 - 3 ounce can mushrooms, undrained and sliced
1 1/2 pints sour cream
1-2 pounds sliced mozzarella cheese
1-2 pounds provolone cheese
Saute meat, stir often and drain. Add
onions, garlic, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms. Mix
well and simmer for 20 minutes.
While the meat is simmering, cook pasta
according to package directions. Rinse with cold
water.
Pour half of the shells in a casserole
dish. Cover with half of the sauce and half of the sour cream.
Place provolne slices on top. Repeat layers but this time place
mozarella slices on top. Bake covered at 350 degrees for
35 to 40 minutes. Uncover and cook until cheese begins to
brown.
