Spice Pear and Almond Jaffle
1 - 14 ounce can of sliced pears (or peaches), drained 1 sheet frozen sweet puff pastry 1 tablespoon slivered almonds 1/4 teaspoon mixed spice spray cooking oil
Preheat your sandwich press. Cut the puff pastry sheet into quarters. Place a few pear slices on 2 of the pastry squares. Sprinkle on the mixed spice and the almonds. Cover with the remaining squares of pastry, pinching edges together. Spray the sandwich press lightly with oil and carefully place the pastry parcels on the plates. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Serve with icing sugar; ice cream; cream; custard or any combination of these. And ENJOY!
