Swiss Steak

2 pounds chuck steak, cut 1" thick
1 package onion soup mix
1/2 tablespoon butter
1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
1/2 green pepper, sliced
1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes (reserve 1/2 cup of the juice)
1/4 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 tablespoon corstarch
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
aluminum foil (20 inches)

Spread center of foil with butter. Cut steak into serving portions. Sprinkle with onion soup mix, mushrooms, green pepper and tomatoes. Season. Mix tomato juice, steak sauce and cornstarch. Pour over meat and vegetables. Seal foil around meat. Bake 2 hours at 365°. Open and sprinkle with parsley.
