Apricot Nut Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups dried apricots cut into small pieces
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup nuts chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak apricots in warm water for 2-3 hours. Drain well.

  2. Mix together sugar, butter, eggs, water and orange juice.

  3. SIft dry ingredients into a bowl and then add to sugar mixture.

  4. Mix thoroughly.

  5. Fold in apricots and nuts.

  6. Pour into loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
