Cheddar Cheese Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Lightly grease a 9x5 loaf pan.

  3. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cheese.

  4. In a second bowl, beat together egg, milk and oil.

  5. Stir the flour/cheese mixture into the egg/oil mixture, stirring until moistened.

  6. Pour batter into loaf pan.

  7. Bake about 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

  8. For a variation, substitute some parmesan cheese for the cheddar cheese.
