Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shortening melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in bowl.

  2. Pour into greased pan.

  3. Bake for 35 minutes at 400 degrees.
