Ginger Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup dark molasses
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • white sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar until fluffy.

  2. Add egg and molasses and mix.

  3. Add dry ingredients and mix well.

  4. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.

  5. Roll each ball in sugar before placing in baking sheet.

  6. Bake 12 -1 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
