Chocolate Snapper Cookies Recipe
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cups shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together shortening and sugar.
Add egg and beat until creamy.
Stir in corn syrup and chocolate.
Blend in sifter ingredients.
Roll into balls about 1 tablespoon each.
Roll balls in sugar and place on cookie sheet.
Bake 15 minutes.
Let cool 5 minutes and transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
