Chocolate Fondue Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces chocolate chip
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix the corn syrup and chocolate together in a pot.

  2. Stir over low heat until melted.

  3. Add the vanilla, stir and transfer to fondue pot.

  4. Serve with pound cake squares, fruit or pretzels.

Chocolate Pudding Banana Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1/4 box chocolate pudding
  • 2 large bananas smashed

Instructions

  1. Empty box of chocolate cake into mixing bowl and follow directions on package for mixing.

  2. Add 1/4 package of pudding mix plus 3 small or 2 large smashed bananas to mixture.

  3. Beat according to directions, 2 to 3 minutes with electric beater or approximately 2 minutes - 300 strokes by hand.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 to 35 minutes.

Chocolate Snapper Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cups shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

  3. In a large bowl, cream together shortening and sugar.

  4. Add egg and beat until creamy.

  5. Stir in corn syrup and chocolate.

  6. Blend in sifter ingredients.

  7. Roll into balls about 1 tablespoon each.

  8. Roll balls in sugar and place on cookie sheet.

  9. Bake 15 minutes.

  10. Let cool 5 minutes and transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Jelly Bean Cookies Recipe

Jelly Bean Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup jelly beans cut up ( if you use jelly belly's instead of jelly beans, your cookies will have other flavors)
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and the two sugars.

  2. Add egg, baking soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla

  3. Stir in flour and oatmeal, add in jelly beans. Mix well.

  4. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  5. Drop rounded spoonfuls of batter two inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

  6. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes three dozen.

Ginger Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup dark molasses
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • white sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar until fluffy.

  2. Add egg and molasses and mix.

  3. Add dry ingredients and mix well.

  4. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.

  5. Roll each ball in sugar before placing in baking sheet.

  6. Bake 12 -1 5 minutes at 350 degrees.

Chocolate Twinkie Cake Recipe

Chocolate Twinkie Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (9x13) inch chocolate cake mix
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bake cake according to package directions and cool.

  2. Mix flour and milk.

  3. Cook over low heat until thick, remove from heat and cool.

  4. Place shortening, butter, salt and vanilla in mixing bowl and mix.

  5. Add cooled flour and milk mixture and beat at high speed until filling is like whipped cream.

  6. Cut cooled cake in half lengthwise and put on filling.

  7. Place top back on and frost with favorite icing.

Ice Box Cookies Recipe

Ice Box Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup nuts chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs.

  2. Mix together both sugars, melted butter, eggs and vanilla.

  3. Sift dry ingredients together and add to first mixture.

  4. Roll and refrigerate overnight.

  5. Slice and place on cookie sheet.

  6. Bake at 400 degrees until light brown.

  7. Divide the batter in thirds and add red food coloring to one batch, blue food coloring to a second batch and leave the third batch white.

  8. You'll have red, white and blue cookies.
