Hot Mushroom Dip Recipe

Hot Mushroom Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mushrooms sliced
  • 1 onion chopped fine
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute onions in butter about 5 minutes.

  2. Sprinkle with flour and cook another 5 minutes.

  3. Add sour cream, lemon juice, salt and pepper.

  4. Pour into a shallow casserole dish and top with the parmesan cheese.

  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

  6. Serve warm with crackers or tortilla chips.

Potato Chip Cheese Ball Recipe

Potato Chip Cheese Ball Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sour cream and onion potato chips crushed
  • 1 pound cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/2 pound cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 pound roquefort cheese crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons onion flakes, or freshly grated onion
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Blend cheeses together with pastry blender. 

  2. Add onion flakes, worcestershire sauce and pepper.

  3. Mix in 1/4 cup of the crushed potato chips. Mix well.

  4. Shape into a ball and roll in remaining potato chip crumbs.

  5. Refrigerate overnight and serve cold.

Puff Pastry with Cheese Filling Recipe

Puff Pastry with Cheese Filling Recipe

Ingredients

Lightly mix together:

  • 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 pound jack cheese shredded
  • 3 ounces cream cheese cut into small pieces

Casserole:

  • 1 package Pepperidge Farm frozen puff pastry (2 sheets in package)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg slightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a 9x13 dish, lay out one of the sheets of pastry.

  3. Stretch it out so it fix the dish. Spread the cheese filling evenly over the pastry.

  4. Top with second pastry sheet.

  5. Cut into 2 inch squares. Mix the egg and milk together and pour over the top of the casserole.

  6. Bake 30 minutes. 

  7. Pastry should be puffed and golden in color.

  8. The pastry will collapse when taken out of the oven, this is normal. 

  9. Recut and serve hot.

Spinach Vegetable Dip Recipe

Spinach Vegetable Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 1.4 ounce envelopes of vegetable soup mix
  • 2 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 8 ounce cans water chestnuts chopped
  • 6 green onions chopped very fine

Instructions

  1. Thaw and drain spinach.

  2. Combine spinach, sour cream and mayonnaise and mix. 

  3. Add water chestnuts and dry soup mix. Mix well.

  4. Add chopped green onions and mix.

  5. Chill for several hours to allow flavors to mix.

Cranberry Salsa Recipe

Cranberry Salsa Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz package dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 cup frozen orange juice
  • 1 jalapeno pepper finely diced

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Brie En Croute Recipe

Brie En Croute Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet filo dough defrosted
  • 1 wedge Brie or 1 small Brie wheel
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 ounces honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

Instructions

  1. Roll out Filo dough and wrap around brie.

  2. Place remaining ingredients in sauce pan and heat over low flame until margarine is melted. Stir mixture.

  3. Put Brie into a flat baking dish. Pour mixture over Brie.

  4. Bake until Filo dough is golden and Brie is melted (approx. 15 minutes).

  5. Serve immediately with crackers, baguette rounds, or lavosh.

Tuna Dip Recipe

Tuna Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 9 ounce can tuna, in water
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 7 ounces flaked sweet coconut
  • 1/2 bunch green onions finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder

Instructions

  1. Mix everything together and chill one hour.

  2. Serve with a hard cracker such as Triscuit.

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen spinach thawed, drained and squeezed
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley or parsley flakes
  • 1/2 cup green onion chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill seed
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and chill overnight so flavors can blend.

Bleu Cheese Dip Recipe

Bleu Cheese Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 cups mayonnaise use light mayonnaise for a lighter version
  • 2 cups sour cream use low fat for a lighter version
  • 8 ounces bleu cheese crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well

  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix.

  3. Cover and refrigerate, allowing flavors to blend.

  4. Serve cold.

  1. Mix everything together and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to mix.
